In foundry, it is a rod going through the stopper and the nozzle responsible for cleaning the nozzle. It is mostly used when pouring SG/nodular iron, this type of iron causing build-up onto the inner face of the nozzle.

Regulation of pressure during the pouring process by the aid of a set of valves in order to avoid fluctuations in the pouring box and guarantee uniform pouring conditions.

Pouring machine containing molten metal intended for casting. Its heating chamber is responsible for keeping it warm. The pressure inside the mold allows raising the metal through a siphon to a pouring box where it is poured into a mould.

In foundry, it is a device used to store liquid metal in a main chamber from which the metal can be raised through a siphon to a pouring box, by applying a pressure in the main chamber.
