| AUDITING Iron & steel flow control SERT can also bring its know-how in metal flow control through consulting on existing process. Data records and analysis are made by SERT process engineers, in co-operation with the user, in order to track main causes of downgradement or failure in relation with the steel flow control. For that purpose, SERT has developed some specific tools as : 1) Quality Analysis Software to qualify mould level control performances, 2) Metal Flow Simulator (VirtuaCast) to anticipate the behaviour of the metal flow control loop (mould level control for instance), and the possible effect of adjustment on the controller or any part of the control loop. This off-line simulation minimise the risk induced by the installation of new setting or new parts to improve your existing metal flow control. Moreover, SERT has developed an efficient expertise to analyse the flow process by using the information of the thermocouples installed in the mould for the users who operates a SAPSOL break-out prevention system. Analyses results are shared and discussed with the user and recommendation are proposed to improve the metal flow control performances.
